Why this exists
India's fragrance scene is growing fast. The enthusiast community is real, knowledgeable, and deeply underserved by existing platforms.
Global fragrance databases have no commerce. Indian e-commerce platforms have commerce but no community, no enthusiast depth, and no answer to the counterfeit problem. There is no platform that owns the intersection: a place where the community and the knowledge graph are the same thing — every discussion links to real fragrance data, every review contributes to a structured rating, every transaction builds a verifiable seller record.
That's the gap. FragSocial is the attempt to fill it.

What we stand for
Genuine reviews
Every review on FragSocial is from someone who has actually smelled the fragrance. Structural gates, community voting, and reputation weighting keep the signal real. No fake data, ever.
Transparent sellers
Seller verification confirms who you're dealing with — phone-verified or identity-verified. It doesn't authenticate the product. We say that clearly because honesty about what we can and cannot guarantee is the foundation of trust.
No banner ads
Revenue comes from affiliate buying links, marketplace value-adds, and eventually first-party tools — never display-ad clutter. If a surface doesn't pass "would a user be annoyed to see this?", it doesn't ship.
Community-built knowledge
The fragrance database improves through the community — corrections, photos, aliases, and contributions are voted on and attributed. The platform gets smarter as more people use it.
What we're not
FragSocial is not a retailer or an Amazon competitor. We don't sell fragrances, hold inventory, or process payments. The marketplace connects buyers and sellers directly — we are a discovery and trust layer, not a transaction party.
We are not an authority on authenticity. Seller verification confirms identity, not product. We say this clearly in our terms and on every seller profile, because a false promise of authenticity would be worse than no promise at all.
We do not plan to be the biggest fragrance site in the world. We plan to be the most trusted one in India first.
A note from the founder
I built FragSocial because I couldn't find what I was looking for as a fragrance enthusiast in India — a place where the reviews were trustworthy, the sellers were accountable, and the community actually knew what it was talking about.
This is an early-stage, solo project. The platform is small by design right now — the founding community shapes what it becomes. If you're here early, you are not a user of a finished product. You are a co-builder of it.
